Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Because we know that when girls feel safe, they feel brave enough to do things they never thought they could. By December 2020, every volunteer needs to have the correct level of A Safe Space training for their role. Level 1 is for all volunteers including occasional helpers, GO coordinators, home contacts, peer educators and Young Leaders. 1st Response Refresher training is being delivered on-line followed by an in-person skills check at a later date. These sessions are limited to 12 people and should last for 2 hours, but we have booked them for 2.5hrs just to ensure that any issues can be dealt with in a timely manner. For anyone wishing to start claiming Gift Aid, this session will take you through the steps from registering to keeping accurate records and making a claim. The session is for leaders, assistant leaders, treasurers and commissioners will be welcome. To register, please click here  

This session is another opportunity for you to learn more about Gift Aid, how to register, start claiming and how to keep accurate records. This will be the same as the previous session. Gift Aid is a great way to generate income for your units as it allows you to claim back money from the government on any donations that you receive. The Guiding Development Team have organised a County Commissioner and Adviser Drop-In day on Saturday 13 March from 10am - 12noon. This is your opportunity to meet the commissioner and advisers and ask them questions about their specialist subject. The session will take place over Zoom, no need to book.
